The crop is quite effective. I might have shown both hands to emphasize her love for the instrument. It's almost like she is protecting and reassuring the Cello at the same time.

Carol, the only thing I see wrong with the crop is the partial hand at the bottom - slightly distracting but not too, maybe better to crop a little off the bottom or include more of the arm.

I think it's framed and cropped quite nicely. While a little of her head is cut off, it's not distracting, and it certainly keeps the important elements in front and focus.
I don't think the image suffers at all for being cropped as it is, I think it suits nicely.

Beautiful tones and contrasts in this image. When viewing the thumbnails, I found my eyes were drawn to it again and again. There is an element of emotional poetry portrayed in the softness of the image. Wonderful composition! The angle of the shot compliments the overall image greatly.
