Hi Ian, There's something unsettling about this image; probably the combination between the moody tones, the joyful occasion (lots of booze and laughter, so to see, and the reference to Schönberg. It creates a surreal combination, and a huge tension.... Very creative uphaul, so to speak..
I hate to solicit, but following your very contructive advice and comment on Curly's portrait, I uploaded the second one in this triptych, and I wonder if my idea behind them has been captured more cleary...
