Hi John,
I find the other one from this serie more appealing because, like the line of flags, it's horizontal. Also, the shape of the water seems more to be tearing the asphalt from that angle. And here, the warm tones are reflected on the asphalt, giving it a warm tone and cancelling the contrast between warm and cool tones present on the other image.
Maybe if I've seen only this image I'd like it as much as the previous, but that reference is stronger in my opinion. Guess you must think so since you posted it first, is it?
