About
The old Howard Street Bridge in Baltimore is getting a facelift with a new paint job. I find the green-and-yellow scheme very photogenic.
Part of the bridge is still wrapped in fabric - sort of like a low-budget Christo-and-Pont-Neuf :-)
The underside of the brige, already painted, is a gold mine of abstract images for the intrepid photographer. Unfortunately, getting close enough and at the right angle has escaped me so far. I thought I was there yesterday, but just as I lifted camera and big lens, a police officer came by to explain that I was on Amtrak property and had to leave.
I finally got this shot, actually about 1/5 of the frame, from the parking lot of Maryland Institute Collge of Art.
Dear Mr. Steve. I think that the arc is one of the best units of compositions, Although it's leading the eyes out of image but the color saturation return it back again inside. Good Luck .
Great colors, Steve. Yeah, in this current 'security' climate, it's irritating how many times I get chased off trying to get an artistic photo, while rent-a-cops fear I'm casing the joint. :(
Great capture Steve, the detail is so sharp you nearly had me counting the rivets in the bridge ;-) Super composition and a super depth of field. It is a shame you were moved on !
