Hi Hugo,
you can get it in really good italian restaurants, it is the flower of a zucchini.
Using the macro is still a kind of secret for me, but perhaps next time I will think of your suggestion about the middle of focus :)
Perhaps I better go back to my b&w, there I'm more familiar with tones;)

Hi Verena, Talking about minimal DOF! It sure creates a very abstract image. I find the tones a bit dull, but the textures, and hues match perfectly. As before, I think I would've placed the center of focus a bit more towards the middle, which would balance the composition a bit more....
Just out of curiosity. What is it I'm looking at? Very intriguing organic lifeform...;o)

To eat or not to eat...I like the composition,maybe the "pumpkin flowers" could be better with more contrast (imho), fantastic background:I agree with you, anyway, filled with ricotta are superb!
