Wonderful shot Beverly...just for my own curiosity sake about your camera could you post the technical mojo on this shot?....Debbie...I would have been easy to spot..only guy with a scanner mounted to his tripod trying to catch a butterfly....squash!...oops...i always get kicked out there...speaking of butterflies i found one on a hike this weekend that was as big as a bird...fluttering about the flowers...every time he would land on a flower to eat it would droop about a foot down..biggest one i have ever seen...I waited around and he finally made his way to were i could reach him...all i had was my 24mm lens but i got about a foot away and took a shot...maybe it will come out....maybe not. But he was lucky i didn't have my scanner!

Yep, another one of those "Fly by night, seat of the pants, drunk as h..." Kinda photos. LOL at myself. Oh, I see, you went to the gardens to sober up. Didn't want to mention to Maggie, about Crown Royal. From my experience that is a man's outrageous attempt for a "One night, hope to score, with the lady date bait, kinda drink". LOL, again. You be careful where you go after you have your little drinks, Beverly, ok? I think a flower garden may be safe, unless, of course Christopher Whaley is there. LOL, again. (Just kidding Chris, about trying to get ideas and all.) Oh, yeah, this is BEAUTIFUL!

Hey Bev, give up the drinking and spread your wings! Great capture. How did you stop the action? Have not mastered that yet. I can't get the whole butterfly in sharp focus either.

Thanks Ya'll. Yes Mary Sue this was hand held, tripods are not allowed in the butterfly house, not enough room since its very small. Since I drank all the rum and can't shoot that anymore, I'll post another butterfly tomorrow..they are so much easier to "get" then those damn bottles..lmao

Beverly, was this handheld? Great clarity, dof, etc. With your talent, I'm surprised the butterfly did not turn your direction, smile, and wave. I guess he was scared of that baseball bat. :)
