Another image from my 2-day visit to NYC last weekend.
Over the past 25 years or so, Manhattan has benefited from the construction of quite a few innovative and beautiful tall buildings.
But the Empire State, and its slightly older, slightly smaller brother the Chrysler, still stand out as the classics of the NYC skyline.
Taken from the campus of my Alma Mater, Stevens Institute of Technology, in Hoboken, NJ.
This is one of the first shots I took with my brand new Sigma 70-300 f/4-5.6 Macro Super II lens. I also used a circular polarizer for this exposure. I kept a little illustrated journal of my visit to NYC this past weekend in my blog, and if you like, you can see these entries at
