When I say this is genius, I sincerely mean it. I think this is the best series I?ve seen on usefilm. I would consider getting it published. I don?t think this shot is a good ?stand alone? shot although, I feel it?s a perfect ?reference? shot to start out this journey through the building. I?m going to try to make it a point to comment on each of your photos in this series when I find the time. I have an unusual attachment towards asylums for many reasons actually, I?ll explain why in future posts. I loved your comments describing the building, I?ve been in places like this, I can relate to the sense of history a person feels while roaming the halls long after the patients and staff are gone. That smell, that musty smell, of an old an abandoned building, really nothing like it. you can almost feel the history there. Great series brad! ~Mike

Hi Brad
Just revisiting your asylum series. Were you able to just wander up to this place and rock on in or did you have to covince people that it was good idea that you photograph there.

Great series this. Personally I think it's beautiful as a space. I love it when we let real estate "go".

Brad, you are one brave soul, I give ya that. This place looks absolutely creepy! Scares the heck out of me just looking at it-but I can't help it. You've done well in capturing the essence of this place. I can almost image the people staring out of the windows, some just staring, some screaming... The whole series is beyond the rating scale. Just excellent~

Excellent light, shadows and angle. A great sense of desolation with the tangled weeds and ivy.

Great shot. Too bad you didn't have a stormy sky with well defined clouds to enhance the mood.
