Richard I did use to paint but kind of gave up when I got into digital..I found it easier and cleaner :>
Funny you ask though..I have been missing it lately.

Very dark, almost overwhelming visually. probably too much going on in this for most people. Do you paint as well?

I have been puttin goff commenting on this image all weekend. it is intense to say the least. i got an idea from your response to Jeff what it was about , but rather than feed off of his ideas, i would go forward and say that even though this image reflects part of your past, you next image in this series should be a beautiful sunrise depicting a new begining, The new day when you have control over what transpires. So post me a sunrise OK ?

Carol.
Exceptional work here! Added you to friends list so I can keep an eye on your stuff. Love the Polushkin style "dark theme" compositions like this. You are among a selective few who do this style extremely well. Very creative in color and subject matter. Keep em'comming!

I am glad you "get it" This certainly is how I feel my life was growing up...
Kind of scary.. But I went thru alot of abuse and I know its made me who I am today..I am
not sure whether to embrace those lessons or not.
Thanks for your comments and insight, it means so much to me!
Jeff.

An interesting composition.

Very moody, showing a bleak, dark view of the world. Almost like it is trapped, constrained. Harsh, even, with problems wanting to rise to the surface (religion, and others).

Carol! very VERY COOL! I love your depiction and the skull really says it! People who have respect for their needs only and like vampires feed on others as if they were cows because they have no respect, feel no obligation and do not really care about anything but their own needs.

HEY! Reminds me of my seperated wife - amazing!

Love,
Jeff
