Thankyou Peter. They fly free around here and are extremely friendly. This like to climb all over you and it is nothing to have up to 10 at a time on you. They are a large bird, not quite as big as some of the parrots you have photographed so beautifully, I might add. They like to eat the fruits around here and when the fruits get a little over ripe, these birds get a bit drunk on them. Walking down the malls you actually have to be careful they don't fly into you. It is hilarious to watch, but many do get killed when they fly into parked cars....hmmmm!!!! Judi

Amazing portrait. The colors are stunning, and the shallow DOF really emphasizes this fabulous bird.
I've never seen a bird as multicolored as this, and captured so beautifully. Great job!

Judi ...... An excellent portrait of this bird. ... So well done Judi...... razor sharp and with great detail and color. You have all the right to be proud of this photograph. While I have your attention>>> I mentioned to Larry to tell you this: Use a water filled spray bottle .. and spray your roses before photographing them... Gives the look of "dew" drops ..... adds so much to the flower. ....Don't ya think?
