About Essentially the same shot as Kowloon #1, but taken in the early evening. My night photography is not great so I ask for your help on this one. Tripod and timer used during this shot. Adjustments made in PS: levels, unsharp mask, cropping, increase in contrast.

First of all, thanks for your comments. My apologies for not stating what I wanted help with. First of all, my camera has limitations, in that I can't set a shutter speed of more than 2 secs, as a result I have to make use of the last daylight available. This doesn't seem to be a true night shot, as it is still quite light. I think I'm asking if there is any way I can shoot when it's a bit darker out and still have the same clarity and colour in the photo? But with this Fuji, I think my shutter speed limitations render my whole question pointless. Thanks anyway.... James

THis one is good! IMHO, you have selected the best shutter speed/aperture for this condition, and you've taken the picture at the right time whereas the skylight is not so dark that you don't require prolonged shutter opening (I don't really know the technical terms) so that the reproduction of the billboard is still visible (the letters on Philips and Hitachi are visibly perfect). So, to me this picture is good, two thumbs up!

PS: Photo help project? What would you require help with in this shot? And thanks for your reply!

Cheers,

Hugo

Oh, yeah! The tones make this image for me, James! Outstanding shot, very well composed and captured. Again the same build-up in the HK skyline from left to right, but much more appealing than the previous one. Very well captured!

Cheers,

Hugo
