Stan, thanks for your comments. I'm busted. I took this photo into Photoshop and darkened it up quite a bit. You are right. It's just before sunset and still quite light. My camera is a point and shoot, so I have no real control over the shutter speed. I think I'll be posting a little macro soon. This camera seems to do a fine job with macros. Regards, Nancy

Nancy...how beautiful! Someone may have revealed your secret, but it's really a nice shot and great effect. Wish I'd been there! I think this shot is just about at the cuticle, isn't it?

Nancy, I really like this image. IT lloks for me as very short shutter spped during bright sunny day. Otherwise I don't get how you were able to save waves (night photography even with moon requires long exposure > 1 sec) wich will eliminate waves.((I see splash of wave crashing on rock which makes me think that shutter was ~ 1/500 sec.)) I give you 7 from 7 for composition and quality of image.
