although the cat is almost invisible, I like the nostalgic mood of this photo.There are such places in every city with buildings that have passed their prime.Wonderful, wnderful even without the cat at the foreground!

I understand what you tried to do and it's very clever, the texture, the background and, of course, the barely suggested cat. I think this would have been a first rate image if:
*there was more illumination on the cat
*there was less background and more cat
Was there a chance to move in closer?
