One of the nicest of it's type that I've seen for a while. Great colours and great composition.
It looks to me like as soon as that cloud opens up with the next downpour, the shed will collapse! No more photo op!

Thanks for your comment Gevork. I turned this into monochrome with a channel mixed adjustment layer then added selective colour with masks. I prefer to all my adjustments in Photoshop. I haven't used any of the Nik filters. Regards John

Hi John.
Love the photo - great work. I like the way the water sits so still and the way the light catches the iron on the side of the shed. I see some one has dragged my poor attempt of this photo back up and hope you don't link this to me. I'm greatful for all your help. This photo has shown me what dirrection I should be heading. Thanks agian and great photo regards greg.

John , you have a wonderful eye. I love this shot.

Craig Garland   {K:27077} 7/6/2004
A wonderful shot John. It almost looks as if its been selectively saturated/desaturated, but if so it's done so well that I can't tell. But I love the subject, the lighting, and the composition-- nice title too.

Thanks for your comments on my most recent abstract. Of course it was already an abstract, but then I flipped it in PSP and it took on a whole new dimension (to me at least) with added drama, tension, and an enigmatic character. Cheers. Craig

Absolutely top-notch shot, John.
The composition is perfect with the line of the roof staying above the distant hills.
And, needless to say, the colour and mood are excellent.
First class job ~ well done!

Thanks Patrick. I only use a polarizer and gray grad on the camera lens. I converted this to B&W in Photoshop and then did the rest using layers, colour fills and various blending modes. Regards John
