LOL! Yes, he's purebred German shepherd, the goofy one from the litter. His legs are long enough, just the angle of that shot makes them look shorter. He's built like a tank, just one square block of doggie.

Great shot, the water could be mistaken for a sky. btw i wonder is Tanka a german shepperd (s)he on the photo seems to have shorter legs as usual for an sheppard.

Heh heh...I will no longer buy the notion that you take Tanka for walks. This is evidence that there is absolutely no way that could happen and that he is, in fact, the walker and you are the walkee.....
That is one happy looking dog, that's for sure!

A truly beautiful portrait of Tanka. The little catchlight you have going in Tanka's eyes adds to it. Love the reflection of the sky in the lake, and the toy in front of Tanka says a lot about the dogs character.
Tanka does need to loose some weight however. Tanka needs to emulate her master... :-)

Yes, they're that blue, that was the reflection off the sky in the water behind him. In September when we get clear days without the haze, it's really blue.

Man are your lakes that blue? I assume those are reflections of clouds in a lake since you were pointing down.
Tanka looks just like I imagined a tanka would look. :)
