About
This was taken at the party held at one of my jobs the night they opened their pool. I was just running around taking pictures of people to record the event, and I took this picture of my boss. She was sitting in a chair, and I approached her from sort of behind and to the side, and I had her just turn her head up to the camera, and I grabbed a shot.
I then took it into Photoshop and touched it up (to get rid of blemishes, lines, etc.), did a soft focus diffusion (using layers, transparencies, Gaussian blurs, erasers, etc.), and color corrections.
Anyway, just wanted to post it to see if anyone has any input about what I did, to see if it was even worth the effort. :) I'm mostly hoping to show that even a snapshot can be turned into something more with a little "darkroom" work. Thanks for looking.
P.S.: A Canon 540EZ Speedlite was used for fill flash, set to underexpose by one stop with the head zoomed out to 24mm coverage.
