Great composition and mood shot. I can just imagine sitting there and having a beer. Good natural colours and the wave has been caught spot on. I also like the sparkle on the sea with the island giving a point to look at.

hi natalie...no she was there, she was actually painting the scene..I think it could be the reflection of light coming up from the beach. I did bring her out a bit from the original photo with curves...because I shoot in raw I have more exposure to play with...thanks roger

Hi Roger, Very tranquil view. The woman is very important in the presentation and in conveying the atmosphere. Very original composition, too. I think a few steps to the right, placing the island a little more off center, and capturing a bit more of the face of your wife (?) in the process could've made this shot even more appealing. Very well exposed, though, not underexposing the shady parts in the brightness of the ocean... Very strong image.
