First I would like to thank everyone for your support and feedback. As far as this how this shot was setup: - I lit up one of the fire blocks and placed it on the stand. Then I made my subject stand about 4 feet away from the flame, just to keep her safe. I used 70-200 at F2.8 with a fill flash and had a reflector to her left to get rid of some shadows. As far as costumes go, she is white girl as you can tell from the picture, because of her fair complexion and color, I thought a colorful Indian costume would suite her a lot. So I made her wear a traditional Punjabi (Indian) Dress. Although I failed to get the flame as I wanted in the picture, I think I succeeded to capture a good photo. Thanks, Jagdeep Khosa
I really liked the mix of colours and the softness of the image. Your model must be very pleased with this picture. Nice framing and sense of mystery. If my efforts are half as good I will be very pleased.
flame is totally not needed.....the lighting on her and pose is really extremely good, kind of "Madonna-ish" (not the pop singer).....didnt need the framing effect either...its a very good job Jagdeep...the bells and whistles are not needed on something so nicely done.....
