Hi Rawabi,yes...you guessed right. I wanted to erase the very faint background ( the photo anyway was taken at max aperture ) because my intention was to have the flower sort of floating in black.
Unfortunately there is a flaw : since I worked on it during the morning with the sun sideway from my LCD monitor there are a few spots lighter which I hadn't seen.
Sorry....when I realized that mistake it was already too late ;-)
