A tissue photogravure of this print was in an exhibition at Musee Jenisch (www.museejenisch.ch ) outside Geneva Switzerland this spring, in a survey show of etchings, engravings, gravures, and photogravures. Other notable artists in the show were Albrecht Durer, Edourd Manet, Georges Rouault, Rembrandt, Francisco Goya, Toulouse-Letrec and photographers Paul Strand and Edward Steichen. My portfolio 'We Walk in Beauty' www.rocketdogcreative.com/wwib is in the museum permanent collection of the museum.

Gary, You do some neat stuff with that Wisner! To me, this picture is a little busy, and from my perspective, it looks slightly out of focus. May I suggest moving in closer to your subject (effectively cropping out the foreground), and sharpenning up your focus. Otherwise, very nice. jwm

Hi again Gary. Noticed you've been a little quiet at usefilm lately. (Not that one should expect 11x14 negs to be posted by the dozen!) But I was just wondering if you had heard of the Analogue Photography Users Group website www.apug.org? It's a forum for exchanging information and sharing images that have been produced in traditional ways. I've found it to be a great resource for LF photography and also quite inspirational. It may be of interest to you .... best regards, John McCallum

All of your images are so good Gary, and this is no exception to that. The light has been caught beautifully on the subjects faces. Anyone who can capture such subjects with a lg format shows great skill (let alone with 11x14"). Interesting tone. On my screen I only wish for a little more contrast. But I am sure that the contact print shows immense detail and tonal range that the website can not do justice. John.
