This is a photograph in platinum of a lakota sioux native american man. It is part of a book I made of american indians the entirety is in the Smithsonian. Take a look at the book,

I donīt know the method you are using being fairly new within photography, but it adds soul and time to it. Beautiful portrait of this native indian that could have been taken 150 years ago had it not been for the clothes:-)
Best wishes
Annemette
PS: Thank you for adding me as your photofriend

Hello Gary,
Generally your portraits are excellent. But this one, particularly stands out for me, due to the strong character you have drawn out and captured in your subject. To achieve this in 8x10 platinum requires significant skill.
The result is simply outstanding in my opinion. Best regards, John.

I was drawn to your portfolio by your image of Ofelia but this portrait captured me. I continue to be amazed by the talent here at UseFilm. Thank you for working with subjects that deserve more coverage. John B

This is amazing!! I can't stop looking at this one. Not only are his features perfect, but his eyes and expression seem so pleasant and soulful.
What a wonderful portrait!

Beautifully done. Glad to see you back. It seemed you were busy with other things.

Wonderful image, Gary. Again, your tones, contrast and lighting amaze me. I really like the expression and detail on this gentleman's face. As I said before, I can only imagine what the actual print looks like compared to the scanned version.

I love your work Gary and I'd give a lot to actually see your images in person, I know that scanning doesn't begin to do justice to platinum prints. (I know I gave up trying to get good scans of mine).

I love the expression on this gentleman's face, it's so intimate and joyful (IMO).

Do you ever do workshops? It's been awhile since I've looked at your website.

Excellent portrait. Not many shoot with large format any more. I still have my 2 4x5's and shoot with them when I can.
