Some people are going to say the colors are too intense, but it really is that way. About the only thing this photograph doesn't capture is the penetrating silence, and the overwhelming feeling of being just a small part of it.

Greg. I like the tones and sky on this one. I don't think the title is 100% though. The mountains while beautiful do stop the eye from going to the horizion and thus deny us the 'vastness'. Perhaps a more angled perspective where a mountain range or other feature can can draw our eye in from the foreground towards infinity would meet your title better?
I like this series and i like the Mojave. Thanks for posting - JB
