excellent photo.. love the richness of the color. the old paint on the walls really add to the photo. although the light from the window may be a tad overexposed it really provides a focus for the eyes.
the staircase also adds to the composition and gives a glimpse of what the building may have looked liked in better times.

The light is magical in this piece... I love how it lights on the wall, and on each stair, drawing me closer to the window. At first I wondered if the light in the window was too bright, as there's no detail in it, but I think it works well as an anchor... your composition pulls from all angles to that window and the light coming through it really plays throughout the image.
The bold colours are also a great strength to this shot. They give the walls an added boost of texture and character!
Truly, an excellent shot!
