Dave, This is neither the first nor the last thing that fades away without any action being taken to preserve it! :( I have more photos of things that have vanished or on their deathbed! :( Bahrain is a very tiny island with a population of half a million only .. do you know it used to be call the Land of Million Palmtree! The pic below shows two arial views of the same land called "Nabeeh Salih", first taken in 1954 and second in 1998!

photo quality is very good.. composition and lighting are good too. by the way, this kind of hand made weaver still exist in egypt in many places and one of them is (kerdasah) a small vellage in cairo area. very good decomentry shot. thanks
