A 7 and into my favorites (missed it the first time 'round). This is typical of your clean and spare graphics technique.

Nice photo, good color contrast. What do think about shooting with a little higher angle to capture a bit more of the ocean, to capture more blue from the ocean for even higher contrast.

Incredible sharpness, color, and depth of field. You've pretty much got it covered here... The object in the foreground sets everything off perfectly. Congrats for a well deserved award!

Love this image John, I keep coming back to it. It has that sense of the surreal that makes it intriguing and the colours are incredible. Added to my favourites.

Did you ever heard of Portuguese painter Hogan??? makes me think of his paintings.
I'm happy to find here a person whose influences seem to be from paintings
this photo with all it apparent quieteness , seems a portrait of the True Nature of Nature !

Ooh so beautiful! Stunning colours and so nice and interesting composition! How beautiful that the water in foreground is so green compared to the blue sea in background. I love how deep it feels in the green water while it still can be seen "things" under. That's thanks to the polarizer, isn't it?

Those brown rocks looks lovely too, but a bit mystical... What is that black line on top of them? I can't really figur that out, but this is such a wonderful photo!

Awasome John,You have made a great job,0f minimalizing the elements,a classic example of what to leave in and what to leave in!I obviously leave too much in!
It was a great day though, magic landscape, just pray we can keep it that way.

Tim Long Tim Long   {K:9228} 2/27/2004
Looks like an image from Where the Wild Things Are, the three rounded outcroppings on the right like strange dinosaur heads (coming in to feed?)... A weird landscape John, very well conceived and captured. Only quibble for me, the blowhole could be a bit more off-center. Regards.
Tim
