Thanks again, Jim,
This is one of my favorite images of Yellowstone. By now more of the young trees should be getting maybe 8-10 feet or so. There were so many burned trees, such a shame. I have some great pictures of all the burned tree trunks with the entire area covered with little new trees about 1-3 feet high. So, at least one day there will be trees once again.
Lori :)

I know the very spot, 3 more weeks and I'll be there again. Nice shot, good convergence on the left center, and a great reflection. The water inside ( to the right) was really yucky full of bloom when i saw it. You made a great capture here jic

Hi Debra, You will love Yellowstone, and it isn't that commercial if you stay away from the few stores, you can really get lost for the entire day, alone with nature! I think you'll love it!
Lori ;)

It is stunning we hope to go visit this soon... We do live in Idaho... but are from the Bay Area in California... two very different worlds...trust me... =)) I think Yellowstone would be awsome but many who know me tell me I won't like how commercial it is. I adore Yosmite..can it compare???

Beautiful lines, Lori! The calmth, tranquility and relaxing atmosphere is made tangible in a beautiful way. Probably not even close to the real thing, but I think it is a very good try....:) Well done, my compliments!

Hello Lori! Thanks for all your kind comments, that made me really happy! And proud! :-))
Such wonderful photo this is! I love water reflections, and especially this beautiful, when not only the trees but also clouds reflects so beautifully in the water! Looks so calm and peaceful! Also the foreground is so beautiful! Like something between rock and sand... so smooth... would love to walk barefoot there! Although the trees tells that it's not necessarily warm!

I know what you mean about "doesn't do it justice"! It seems no matter how you compose, you cannot duplicate the experience of being there. Actually, that's a good thing. This shot is beautiful, the reflections are classic, and the framing/cropping is perfect. The angular landform in the forground sets this off nicely! Great job! Thank you for your recent kind comments. ..Brad

It may not do full justice--what could? but it's a beautiful picture in its own right. This appeals to me more than the shots of individual flowers, beautiful as they are. I guess it's the scale of this that appeals. Of course if I had been there in front of this beautiful scene, I think I would have taken a panorama! [grin]
