I THINK the information I put on exposure and film are correct...not sure. It's been a long time since I took this picture. Anyway, this is just a cropped and re-worked version of my earlier Humility post. I just figured I liked this version better than the original. Any comments, suggestions, etc? :)
Really a special example of perfect construction of a protrait. Wonderful the smooth atmosphere you realized trough the light and great idea to it in B/W My best compliments
Larry: I saw the other picture first and it caught my attention. I think both are good but I love the way you softened this one and cropped it. On the other one, her other hand was a little bit distractive, in my opinion. This one looks simply beautiful. Great composition and mood. Congrats on your improving effort. I give it a 10+.
You're very kind, and I'm glad you liked this picture. TMax is my favorite of all the B/W films, because of its fine grain and excellent exposure latitude. As for the model...well, at the risk of getting myself into trouble for saying this, you might check with any "adult entertainment" bars or clubs in your area. I do not frequent these things, myself, but this lady was a dancer at one of the bars in this area, and she needed some promotional pictures taken. Intead of taking payment, I just had her pose for some pictures of my own whimsy, for use in my portfolio. This just happened to be my favorite (mostly because it's the only one that I can show to people of all ages and/or sensitivities without being screamed at for showing any semblance of nudity, which has happened a fair few times in this area, the buckle of the bible belt). ;) Anyway, I look forward to seeing more of your work as you continue to post it. Take care.
Gees, Larry! What a stunning portrait! I love this image, I cannot believe the softness and tones. I just bought some Tmax, sure wish I had someone like this to use it on. Plus, the presentation is awesome! I did not rate this lightly.
