This is an excellent photo. I'm not sure I agree with a few of the other comments you have received with regard to lighting. I think the lighting is perfect and evokes a certain mood in the pic. It is very surreal and this image and the way it was shot, coupled with the title, leaves me to believe that they are leaving, but they'll be back. Great work!

Paolo

wow what magnification level is this one at??

it's probably just my preference but some macros aren't lit up wellenough (like mine). i'd suggest more light in the foreground maybe. i haven't gotten that lighting technique down yet hahah maybe you'll figure it out better :)

Very nice macro too :)
Let's place them face to face and see who's the winner, :-D
Wasp x Grasshopper

I think the subject is a little bit dark. The grasshopper could be lighter, but it's a good pic anyway
Congrats,

Thanks for posting this one, Davide. Ir recalls lots of memories, none too sweet.
All summer we really plagued by grasshoppers, they were everywhere (my friend's cat was litterally feasting on those buggers). They died off by the end of August.
Great macro. Makes it look really scarry.
