Excellent shot, you got a state of mind, what in english language is called a character , used as a portrait of someone with strong face, but ,in our latin language it also means someone of strong personality.
In Buenos Aires, tango is part of the town,we think of tango and Buenos Aires as an unique entity. But tango and Buenos Aires and the Boca quarter,"barrio", the italian place, soccer, football, Boca Juniors, Maradona, passion, extrovert way to live.An explosive mix of the spanish pride, with the south america "macho" ,gives the "ombridad" a word an european do not grasp in all its meaning.Like a "caudillo" is not understood by europeans, or north americans.South America, Argentina ,are a different way to stay in life.Caminito is the climax of the Boca barrio, there is the place to be,heart and soul open to see, listen, smell, understand and be forever impressed.Look, I have five years of living in South America, S.Paulo.I want to "feel" and then understand this continent. This is that: first we feel, than we try to understand. My european culture, my various stays in USA ,help to let me open my mind.I love South America.I hope all of you feel that my pictures of this South America series are a love affair, I did it with my soul, my deep love for that people and that land.
Regards
jorge
