ordinarily, this type of shot doesn't inspire me to any emotion, and i just look past - another boring still life. but what you have done here is different. there's a story behind this, more than just an old shoe on some rotting floor boards. it's tough to shoot something somewhat cliche in a way that feels original (and not cliche at all), and i think that's what you've done here.

Excellent, evocative shot. This reminds me of those powerful wartime images of the lost boots of soldiers. There are a hundred stories in this picture and the strong contrast adds to the strength. Nice work!

Great shot. Really love the "ol" feeling of it. Great focus. Might try a little ps color to the branches only? or the edge of the shoe? - but its great how it is too.
