About These trees stand at the site of a famous pagoda, long since destroyed. I like the range and subtlety of the B&W tones I get from greyscale conversion. Indeed, i prefer it over most B&W film.

First of all i'm glad fore the coment to my foto.

My english should have been better to exprex feeling fore things. The foto here is good in the B/W way. good sharp, goos compoced, and the best part is the light on the tree's, dif fron the one to the other, excellent light and contrast in foto.

I was thinking about this earlier today and realized that the title for this image is as much about the destruction of the past versus the creation of the future and the line between them that is the present as it is about visual light and dark/black and white aspects of this image.

Absolutely gorgeous. I love nude tree and I love leaves. These traits make me a sucker for these types of shots. I am pleased to see that others find greyscale conversions pleasing to...so many are married to black and white. I like black and white for a completely different feel - greyscale conversions give me something else...both are good. I was looking at some old black and whites the other day and reminded myself not to give up film. Right now though I continue with my digital because it is cheaper and that is very important right now.

Sorry. In a chatty mood today. Let me look more closely at the photo.

Good title. I like the curb like object running along the foreground. I do wish the horizon were located differently but that is okay.

I particularly like the urban development in the background, it gives a certain poignancy to the what is missing from the image - - the history that has been destroyed.

Good work.

Mary
