Yes, I used Photoshop on the image, but only to resize the image after scanning, then a touch of sharpening after I resized and I removed a marker from the water, although I didn't do a very good job of it!
The color & vignetting aren't added by Photoshop, it true to the print. This is actually a scan of a print made from a slide. Since I uploaded this, I've bought a new scanner that will scan slides, and I've attached a scan of the slide. The new scanner does a much, much better job than the old one! The attachment has absolutely NO Photoshop, but the compression from saving it makes it a bit fuzzy :-)

Hi Christine,
hadn't seen your portfolio until now. You have some good photos and your bio-self-portrait is good AND funny.
Although I hardly ever comments sunsets (they're too easy, and that's why most screw them up), this one's original. I guess you used PS? No hard feelings here, because I like the vignetting effect.

You are over there on the help forum whining about not being able to take pictures. I see from your portfolio that it's obviously a guise. You have some very nice stuff and should be proud. I agree with most of the comments you have received on the forum: you can take 1000 shots and only one or two of them you will like. On the other hand, other people will accept 90% of them as being good. You are your own worst enemy in critiquing your work. I know I am!

Absolutely beautiful!! I am not always a big fan of centered subjects, but this really works! The lines from the center really draw your eye. The reflection is perfect and the colors are wonderful. I hope you enter this in a photo contest somewhere!! Great job.

Hi Christine, I really like the deep tones with the bright light of the receding sunlight. I found your portfolio through clicking on the link of your post in the forum on critiquing photos. I really agreed a lot with what you said, especially about being hesitant to leave negative comments on others' work - as I am not sure I am qualified to give my opinion.
