About This was the view down the Bow River valley just east of Canmore Alberta, Canada in early August 2003 as fires devoured thousands of acres of forest in nearby Banff National Park.

In awe and wonder we gazed upon the powerful forces at work and the amazing beauty displayed in creation, waiting in expectation of the rebirth to come the following spring yet uncertain as to the degree of devastation yet to come.

Robert, again you make so much pollution with your uncontrolled forest fires against the will of David Suzuki....but I forgive you because your image is very romantic!
BTW-- again you shot is splendid and spectacular!

Very Interesting Robert. I was in the valley after the 12th of August and it was tough to see any distance. You captured it nicely. I have a similar image taken near Castle Mountain but its not on the web. I did shoot Lake Louise at mid day with losts of junk in the air and got a great shot thats posted here at http://www.usefilm.com/image/229565.html
Good exposure on yours and timing as well getting the sun at the cloud edge. Keep shooting. j
