About This was the last quilt made by my wife, Phyllis Moore, as she moved from ?traditional? quilting to ?contemporary? quilting about three years ago. While the combinations of fabric in this piece are somewhat non-traditional, the design is from a traditional house pattern. Today, she designs her own work and, while she still uses some commercial fabric, she tends to use much more hand dyed and hand painted fabric.

Harlan, this is a beautiful Log Cabin quilt. Your wife has a wonderful eye for fabric color and texture. Coming from a family of avid quilters (not me though) I love to see what other quilters do. Please post more of your wifes work. I can't wait to show this one to my mom, she's going to flip! Oh, great photo too....LOL

You have presented your wife's handiwork in a good light. Everything vertical and horizontal is aligned with the edges of the frame.

Well, twenty houses are better than one, or something like that.
