Thanks for all your comments on this image. Quite a surprise to be picked as Editor's Choice twice. The colour of the sea is influenced by the Waitaki River flowing into the sea just to the left of this view. The Waitaki is fed from Glaciers in the central area of the South Island around Mount Cook. If you ever get the chance to visit this area take a look at Lake Pukaiki & Tekapo. The colours are almost the colour of Tourquise.

The different in textures and color is just plain fantastic here. Gorgeous green water. Would be interesting to see this again with different lighting. I wanna go visit New Zealand now! =)

I wonder how whould this photo be with a less dramatic sky? Maybe you have a photo like that? (but then, probably you wouldn't get the same color of the water).
