not only documentary but highly symbolic also; I like the wide-angle perspective and the low key dramatic tones - you remind us that photography is also to remember - thanks - marco

no distortion of a photo can describe the possible distortion of the human mind and character. thank you luis for letting us share your emotion perfectly captured. we need to remind and remember for a better future.

DM

I would not change a thing. This photo tells a story. Nice touch adding film grain.
Gives me the chills. Good Job Luis! Everyone needs to remember the holocast.

Potrays the grim very well. I happen to be reading Martin Gilbert's 'jewish holocaust' right now. So so sad.

Im not sure I agree that it glorifies anything, other than the hint of sunshine (I think it would work better fully gloomy) it presents it in cold contrasty b&w. compositionally the lamp shouldnt be cropped out and the fence off to the right could be level.

No place is inherently brutal; only man can make it so, against his own. Man can be such a monster. We must remember that, in order to change.

excellent work....grain really adds to heighten emotion of an already emotional subject

many thanks for showing it
in this world of funny pixel-maniacs
:
there's an urgent need for documentaries like this one
(not withstanding, that the chosen perspective in itself may be questionable as stylizing horror and holocaust, but this should be a discussion held in another place - as equaly adorno's dictum 'after auschwitz no poem is possible anymore')
works like yours are amongst the few making this site worth a membership
