I tend to see this in more of a rough camera perspective rather than noticing the blur and out of focus. It's lively, not flat, and very free.

Thanks, Couldnt agree more. A secondary idea behind it was for the gate and the shaddows to project the feeling of a prison, and the dogs posistion just placed so he can see whats outside in the surrounding enviroment, the dog wanting some more freedom. But still true yup :)

It's a nice idea, but it is just too out of focus. The dog needs to be sharp if nothing else is. The lighting is a bit flat, but its hard to evaluate with the overall softness. The composition is good and it's a neat idea, just needs some refining.
