Haha I think that if you were offered more money that you could dream of if you captured this again, you would try and try but would never come even close to it! It's really so original! A funny and happy mood, excellent expressions and also really nice composition!

This is amazing. Almost "too clean" for a Holga shot :)))

Terry,

The camera for the shot you questioned is my new Canon Digital Rebel, the lens is a 35-80 mm lens - I still need to send my macro lens into Sigma to be rechipped.

I fluctuate on whether or not I like posting details on my images but I have no problem answering questions if asked. :) I can even let you know the settings if you want to know (I used all the manual functions on the camera).

BTW I just got one of these wonderful babies (Holga) to use - hope to use it when we are on Christmas break when I have a chance to get outside without a child in tow (or at least with someone around to watch her.)

Take Care,

Mary

I like this shot a lot - not because it's from a Holga, because it's just a good photo all in all. I wouldn't worry about the "Holga like" factor - IMHO, there's no such thing because each and every Holga pictures is unique and has its own soul. After all, we love the Holga for the mood it produces, not just because it leaks lights. ;-)

The facial expressions make the shot. Very obviously you didn't tell them to say, "Cheese." And that's good. I like the placement of the figures, the slighly off angle of the car, the B&W. Interesting shot.

Yeah Terry, take the tape off, this is almost too good to be a holga shot. Also try shooting into the sun, tilting the horizon and changing the distance thingee. Leave the camera out in the sun before you shoot and you will get light leaks. It also doesn't hurt to drop the camera now and then. I imagine you were a bit disappointed when this came out so good, and it is good -- I love kid shots and it looks like you have a bunch of rascals for models. But I do see some distortion in the corners so there is hope and, with time, you will get a truly bad, holga shot. Keep on shooting. (Hey, I wish some of my hon-holga shots came out this good.)
