the view of taj mahal is so great! the slight tilt makes the whole composition very real. looking at it alone makes me feel as if i am actually walking towards it. congrats!

Awesome portfolio!
How many of us envy you...
For all the globe-trotting you do!

Excellent captures of peoples, cultures and sights!! What is very intriguing is not a single (of the billion) soul in the frame?! Ain't that the beauty of the country? :-)!

You aare a great photographer, Jose, and people are interested in your art. The composition is excellent, however there is some overexposure especially in the dome. It could be corrected in Photoshop easily. Also, thanks for your comment on one of my pix.

karen barnett   {K:4237} 10/25/2003
When I was a child of five, I received a postcard from an Uncle with a photo of this place... it inspired me to try to draw it, then to paint it........perhaps one day I too will have an opportnity to photograph it..... it continues to have a hold on me even today.

A slight correction in brightness would protect the roofline form fading into the skyline.

A classic shot. It's a pity the sky a bit washed up and the lack of sharpness. Regards, Marco

Leslie Cohelan   {K:20807} 9/21/2003
it would be great to have the whole reflection in the image, but even at this it was well captured, sharp and clear...as otheres have said, the loss of detail and over exposure on the right is a bit distracting...I looked at Kens work and he seemed to hit all the right elements for improving the image...the major distraction in the image is the titlted horizon...all it needs is a couple of degrees ccw...

Nice shot-- as others have said, the tilt to the right is distracting. Also-- I would suggest getting the entire reflection in the shot!

Kristina Kohut   {K:49990} 8/30/2003
Oh this is so wonderful! I love this composition and subject, and fantastic reflections! Sky is a little bit over exposed, and a good idea would have been to keep the whole reflection in the water of the building, but still... so wonderful!!

Bet it was a thrill to be there. Great picture. Would be easy to straighten in Ps. Nice work. Don.

Richard Thornton   {K:26442} 8/28/2003
A good formal treatment, but it needs to be digitally straightened. That backlit situation is really tough to get under control.

This is a beautiful picture of beautiful monument. The picture seems a little tilted. See if you could salvage thru PS to straighten it.

Elangs.

This is a nice subject ... taking in account the previous sugestions, I would like to add on the cleaning of the picture before scanning it, a lens brush would do nice if is a slide, the dust can also be removed in PS... regards.

Um monumento sempre bonito.
Concordo que está um pouco "overesposed",o que roubo um pouco os detalhes.
Um abraço

Wayne Miller   {K:452} 8/28/2003
Great content. Maybe this should be in the architecture category? Uneven horizon and over-exposure is distracting, but it's still a beautiful exotic scene. My guess is that this is a digital photo?

  0

ken krishnan   {K:19102} 8/28/2003
Agree with Javid. I tried some thing. I reduced the exposure in PS and also reduced the brightness. Hope you would like it. Still a great shot.

You know something - there are two kinds of people in the world, those who have seen Taj and those who have not ! Good for you - you have seen it and as well as photographed it!

Javed Rassi Javed Rassi   {K:8223} 8/28/2003
Great landmark, here are few things that are wrong here, first of all the overexposure in the clouds and lack of detail, and the perspective is off(tilts to the right), the whole reflection in water would be even better. Hope this helps. Regards, javed
