About Ok, bit of an arty diversion from my normal style. I tried to dramatise the sky and make the dandilions stand out as much as possible. In the full colour original (please check my page for comparison) the greens were very difficult to work with and I had to sharpen them way too much to save them from becoming dirty, it's more noticeable when trying to enlarge it. I'm trying to decide which to go for as an enlarged print to put on the wall but I'm not too sure. There are things I like in both versions. Maybe you can help?

Thanks for viewing, I look forward to your comments.

Thanks for all your comments.

Kelly; Glad you like it. Wasn't too difficult really. The shot was taken from very low level and the image cropped on the sides drastically to achieve the vertical. I just did a careful colour selection in Photoshop, ensured I only got the flowers (difficult when the grass had so much yellow also), inverted the selection and desaturated the rest. The sky was enhanced slightly using a small amount of 'gradient overlay' set to 'Linear burn'. Voila!

I agree with Patricia Eifel but I would also try the Brightness/ Contrast to get a little more sparkle into the pic.

Very good idea, well composed.

I like this composition very much. The long, narrow framing and low horizon are particularly effective. I do think that the tonality is just a bit flat, particularly in the sky where the absence of any white makes it look a bit muddy. I think a simple levels adjustment followed by an adjustment in saturation to bring the yellow back to this more gentle hue would add a little sparkle.

Nice idea and the composition works well. I think it would be improved by increased contrast in the grass area. ... Jonathan
