About Scanned at 150dpi from a bordered 5 x 7 inch print with slight cropping, sharpening, and contrast adjustments, but no digital retouching. Another shot made at Untermeyer Park (see "Comedy and Tragedy"), this time looking up at the Crow's Nest - a unique combination gazebo and fountain (which hasn't run for close to a century) with a series of walkways, tunnels, and bridges all over and through it, built to look like a natural rock outcropping. It's a fascinating subject... I occasionally like to shoot with the magnificent old Nikon F2 without a meter, and just guestimate exposures on Tri-X or Plus-X. I typically do this with the remarkably small and light - and sharp! - 45mm GN "pancake" lens, which I see Nikon has recently brought back in an updated design introduced along with the new FM3A.

Difficult shot. Too much detail was lost in the shadows and the sky is blown-out. Maybe a gradient (neutral-gray) filter would have helped to get a better exposure. The composition is interesting.
