About	As I live fairly near here I often call in and try out different techniques. This started out as a coloured digital print but I thought it worked better as a black and white because of the high level of contrast

Nice photograph. Strong contrast situations like this are not easy to capture. Cloisters make a good subject.

Thanks for your comments Susan. The glass in the picture is not coloured but there is a great deal of stained glass in this Cathedral in some of the other cloisters. As the glass in this part of the cathedral is plain it means there is a lot of light for taking hand held photos.

Actually, it is a fascinating subject and the B&W works very well. Is the glass of the stained variety?
