About Water droplets on the branches of a Japanese Maple photographed in March. Generally, the same PS techniques as described in previous "blue" photo posts. One interesting note, these were taken in RAW format with a distinctly NON-marco lens. But because I was able to do virtually all the adjustments within the Adobe Camera RAW Filter, it was possible to take a very small portion (about 1/4) of the frame and still maintain reasonable quality. Comments appreciated and welcome.

Beautiful picture, the colours are just right, as is the shininess of the drops. Is it upside down?

I think the square format works well for this image (in other words, I disagree with the cropping suggestion), but that's just my opinion.

Regards,

Ursula

Another gorgeous blue....the reflections in the droplets are beautiful, as is the light.
I agree with Mary about the crop...I also think it would improve the composition.

Jim, I knew this was one of yours before seeing the name, I was drawn to it immediately has it is a gorgeous image. You have again put lots of effort into your picture but it was definitely worth it, everything is good - Richard.

This is interesting because it takes those images that you see in gardening magazines (flowers in raindrops) and makes it different. I have to admit I have a weakness for those images but at the same time find them a little cliched.

I think that perhaps you have too many refracted images in this one - I would treat several of them so that they are like the foremost raindrop and leave one (perhaps two) of the refracted image in drop images intact.

I might also crop a bit more from the bottom so that lowest drop is near the margin - it would cause help balance the branch that runs through the upper-left hand corner imo.

Great technique...
