The mood has really been emphasized by the composition, nice work. I think that imho the rose is distracting, and doesn't seem to fit with the mood.

Well done! Amazing composition and color; I love a shot that makes you yearn to know the part of the story it isn't giving up. The darnkess under the man as opposed to the light above him conveys his emotional sway. Excellent.
