This is a very good photo; the blue/yellow color contrast , the composition and the way leading the eye to the horizon with a number of persons visible. A good one :-)

You are right Terry, there is an area toward the middle - end of the path that appears less than sharp. I added an extra 1.3 f stops of exposure to ensure detail in the shadow areas and think it's a consequence of that (overexposure of the direct light), otherwise it may be something do do with the quality of the camera/lens.
