About Light reading taken off of the puppy's black fur in bright sunlight (with reflective white pavement beneath) resulted in overexposure in the rest of the photograph, turning the 'petter' into an interesting array of lines and tones. Self developed and printed. Any and all comments are very appreciated!

Nicely done, excellent exposure work on the puppy and one can only wonder what the "petter" really is.

One of the forum threads you posted on this site leads me here to have a look at what you do. So let's start with this picture. The subject is fairly far from being my favorite kind of subjects, BUT, this fellow has indeed a very cute expression. The background matches the dog's fur, yet it is blurred approriately - perhaps I would just dodge it to fade it a bit more. So, overall, it works for me. Not excellent perhaps, which is simply a word I reserve for images that have Emil Schildt's kind of quality, but it is good work.

I like it as it is - especially the vertical format.

Hi Aurore,
This is a very interesting shot - I find it very hard to make out what the petter actually is, because as you say they've been reduced to lines.
This is almost like two shots glued on top of one another - the petter makes a very interesting abstract, and the puppy alone is very cute.
Attached - one abstract petter crop ;)
Chris
