Lovely lush greens here. I must go and visit Kauai sometime! Would have liked to see the rim of the waterfall included in the picture, but obviously if you're in the air, you may not have had the luxury of perfection! Thanks for your comments - this one could also be 'a forest of moss' at high altitude! Cheers, Alice.  )
P.S. I use a Canon D1250 U2F scanner, which has a flat, basic plastic slide/negative tray, which aligns the slide/neg with a small transparency light in the lid of the scanner. I scan in all my slides at 2400dpi. Even so, because of the slight extra distance between the scanner module and the slide itself, the scanned image is not as sharp as the original, so I sharpen the (reduced to 640 pixels) image once - via the 'filters' -> 'sharpen' option in PS. (NOTE: Before I reduce and sharpen the image, I crop to my liking, and 'remove' these few annoying dust spots!) Don't sharpen more than once or twice, as the loss of quality starts to appear. I also feel that sometimes the light in the scanner doesn't do the slide justice, so on those occasions I might play around with brightness/contrast, and sometimes colour balance - but I prefer to keep my images as true as the original as possible, as that's the only way to REALLY learn. Have fun!
