Thanks Maja, was good to be close enough to see and far enough away to feel like I had a head start if I had to leave quickly!! LOL!!

Thanks Stan, hopefully the cold weather has put them to bed. It was a hard year for the bears this year. The White Bark pines did not have the production of cones and seed the bears depend on. There were many bear sightings in the late fall from hungry bears.

Thanks Turi, glad you saw this one. Today it is very cold and very white from a storm that came through. Would be a good day to fly to Spain and warm up. Have a great day!!

Especially with the cubs around, very wise dear Stan.
And whenever you cannnot avoid contact, play dead but you know that already. Thanks for sharing.

Yes Andre, I saw one photo of a Grizz in hot pursuit of a Bison. It was a fear inspiring photo to see the concentration of the bear chasing the Bison. Bison are capable of 40 mph for extended runs. Glad they at least put it down humanely.

On a slightly different subject, did you happen to see those photos or video of the Grizzly Bear in Yellowstone chasing the Bison down a road?
The Bison, sadly was badly burned in a brush fire, yet the Grizzly still couldn't catch it. The Bison had to be tracked down by rangers and put to sleep because of the burns.

Yes Andre, this big sow would not have been the bear to go slap around with her cubs. She was quite healthy and the cubs were both attentive to her wishes. I had seen the older cub a couple of times earlier this last month.

A wise move to stay a good distance away Stan. As you most likely know, a mamma bear with cubs is about as dangerous as it gets when it comes to bears.

Thanks Dave, I just wanted to be quiet and enjoy them as long as I could. They are very private animals, do not like to messed with. Never see them often enough. I have only had 5 bear sightings in 30 years in the wild.

Stan I agree about not getting close but I would crop the big rock on top and the left hand side to increase the size of the bears. This is a very good shot of bears in the wild. Cheers Alvin

Thanks Saad, this was full zoom of 300mm from a safe distance. Would not have wanted to be any closer other than trying to get even a better picture of this bear family. Just fun to see them in the wild. Not a common sight.
