Thanks Petros, I actually don't see the tilt though. I even measured the principle line of the stone wall in the centre and its spot on. There are however many lines from the shadows and the steps comming down into the frozen water, which could be deceiving. Take another look and let me know if you disagree.
I don't mind that the dome is in the middle of the image all that much... Some times it's ok to forget about rules.
I actually like this Halid. A lot. One thing though, it apears that there is a slight tilt... Sure it's minimal, but it would help the image if you "fixed" it in PS.
Hi Halid, I like this shot - I've been to St. Petersburg and Odessa, and this does capture the bleak cold that I remember. As for comments, a few things came to mind. Firstly the focal point of the photo, the central dome is bang in the middle of the picture, and perhaps loses some impact as a result. Secondly, I thought the sky and dome were a bit bright and could have been improved with a polariser or graduated filter perhaps, and finally, I thought a tighter crop might improve the shot - though the light on the frozen river is lovely, I thought there was a bit much of it... attached possible crop.
