Harlan, youve captured the amaryllis in all it's beauty. Wonderful use of soft light and perfect exposure for showing textures. I like the black backround.
I haven't tried a drop shadow yet. I will soon.

Harlan!...a flower!
I hope you won't mind me saying this, because technically it's perfect: lighting, sharpness etc (and I know that's difficult enough!!!)......but (yes, here's the but) it is not very original. It is not the typical Harlan Heald image. I hope you'll explore the possibilities flowers can give, to create unique images with YOUR signature.Good Luck!!!
